Frontier Smart Technologies are looking for a new Test Automation Engineer to join our Test Team. You will be part of a small efficient team working with new and innovative products in smart audio and smart home.
About the Team
It’s an exciting time in the Cambridge Test Team; heading in a new direction, moving towards a more automated environment as the company embraces SAFe Agile Scrum.
We are lucky enough to work on bleeding edge technologies such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Spotify to name but a few. Automating the testing of these technologies is incredibly challenging and interesting.
About the Role
Some of the things you’ll be doing if you join us:
- Developing and maintaining automated test systems to be used across the company
- Assisting in hands-on lab based manual testing
- Contributing to test plans and test cases
- Reporting test results
- Helping the Principal Test Engineer improving the test processes across the company
We’re keen to bring new people and ideas into the team – so we don’t have a list of mandatory qualifications or skills to be considered for the role. However, some or all the following could be advantageous:
- Experience in a similar role
- ISTQB Foundation/Agile extensions
- Experience developing test automation, preferably using Python
- Experience of other automation tools like Appium, LabVIEW, Jenkins, iMacros
- An understanding of Consumer Electronics development processes
- Experience in an Agile environment
- An understanding of DAB/FM
- An understanding of internet protocols and networking principles
- Involved in the Ministry of Testing or similar organisations
A personal interest in and passion for audio, music, Smart Home and/or IoT is a distinct advantage.
