Frontier: Approved Certification Partner for Spotify Connect
Frontier Smart Technologies, a leading supplier of digital audio technologies, announces that it is the first independent system integrator to be authorised by Spotify as part of its new Approved Certification Partner program for Spotify Connect.
For Frontier’s smart audio and radio customers (audio brands and ODMs), this authorisation will facilitate an accelerated approvals process, potentially reducing time to market, while still ensuring products are thoroughly tested to maintain quality and compliance.
Spotify Connect allows Spotify subscribers, both free and premium, to stream music to devices via Wi-Fi, rather than streaming content from a user’s phone via Bluetooth. This allows the user’s phone to act as a remote control rather than as a streaming device, significantly reducing the drain on the phone’s battery. Using Wi-Fi also provides a superior audio experience for listeners with fewer drop-outs, superior sound quality and the ability to deliver multi-room audio.
Over the last five years, Frontier has partnered with Spotify to enable over 250 audio products with the Spotify Connect feature.
